The Sunroom Builders Chattanooga Homeowners Call

Homeowners across Hamilton County trust ProDeck Builders Chattanooga for a sunroom done right the first time.

We’ve built 20+ sunrooms in this area, and every single one started with a free same-day 3D design so the homeowner could see exactly what they were getting before a single board went up.

A sunroom changes how you use your home, and we think that kind of project deserves a team that shows up prepared, communicates clearly, and treats your house with the same respect they’d give their own.

At ProDeck, the same crew works your job from day one to the final walkthrough. No strangers rotating through, no wondering who’s coming tomorrow. You’ll know the names of the people on your property, where things stand, and when to expect them back.

And if a mistake ever happens on our end? It stays on our end. Your budget is yours.

We worked with Jose at MTZ to get our sunroom redone (from a DIY sunroom a previous owner had built to a properly finished one) and a back patio added where a deck used to be.

There were a number of hiccups (not MTZ’s fault) early on such as permitting/septic issues, and thankfully MTZ was able to help us navigate those and get them straightened out, which would have been a nightmare for us if we’d needed to figure all that out on our own.

We’re very happy with the quality of the work, and friends and family have a lot of nice things to say about the new room and patio when they come over. We had been worried since we bought our house whether or not it would be worth it to commit to a job like this, but very glad we did and very glad we found MTZ to do the work.

There were a couple of times where maybe communication could have been better, probably on both ends, and particularly through some personnel changes/subcontractor issues, but ultimately the work is of higher quality than we could have hoped for and we’re very happy with the finished product.

Working with ProDeck was a wonderful experience. Jose and Ken came out the very next day after we called for a quote, and Jose was constantly communicating with us about the proposal and any concerns and questions we had throughout the early stages; he would always make time to come out and show us samples or walk us through what he had in mind.

He earned our confidence, and clearly that confidence was well-placed: ProDeck did excellent work, and we absolutely love our new covered deck.

Ken and the crew are hard workers who clearly know what they’re doing, and Molly and Jose are wonderful people to do business with. They made sure we got everything we wanted and that the job was done right.

Couldn’t recommend them more, and we are already recommending them to our friends and family.

Your Budget and Your Timeline Are Both Safe With Us

We take your concerns about cost and schedule seriously, and we build every project around protecting both.
Think about what a sunroom adds to your daily life, and then spread that cost out over the years you’ll actually spend in it. At the starting range of around $80,000 for a Hamilton County project, you’re looking at roughly $15 to $20 a day over ten years for a room you’ll use almost every day. And unlike most things you spend money on, this one adds real, appraised value back to your home.
Construction work has a reputation for running long, and we understand why that makes people nervous. Our crews plan around your calendar, work efficiently, and leave your property clean at the end of every day. We hit our timelines on the overwhelming majority of projects, and when something unexpected comes up, you hear about it from us first, not by noticing it yourself.

FAQs About Sunroom Building in Chattanooga, TN

Yes, in most cases. Sunrooms in Hamilton County typically require a building permit, and depending on your lot and HOA situation, you may also need a zoning review. The good news: we handle all of that. Permit pulling, inspections, documentation, that’s our job.
For most Hamilton County projects, you’re looking at four to eight weeks from permit approval to final walkthrough. Larger or more complex builds take longer, and lead times on certain materials can shift the schedule. We’ll give you a realistic timeline at the consultation stage, before any work begins, so you know what to expect.
A three-season room is built for spring, summer, and fall. It keeps bugs and rain out, but isn’t insulated for heating. A four-season sunroom is built like a living space, with proper insulation, HVAC, and glazing that handles both Chattanooga winters and August humidity. If you want to use the room year-round, as most people do, a four-season build is worth the added cost.
Generally speaking, yes. A well-built, finished sunroom adds usable square footage and tends to be one of the higher-return outdoor living improvements for resale. In Chattanooga’s market, where buyers care about outdoor connection and natural light, a quality sunroom is genuinely valuable.
